is a landscape of transformation, from human to animal (the rabbit), conscious to unconscious, fertility to rebirth, it is intuitive and intelligent. A mix of soft and hard surfaces, layered custom upholstery creates a countryside that conceals and reveals the conscious and unconscious mind as it travels to find a warm and dry burrow. The human body is encased and protected, absent and lost in the land of dreams.

this piece was a response to an invitation to be part of a show called "project chaboo"

this collaboration was an opportunity to take a design that was simple in form, function and meaning and apply the rules, regulations and concepts of our work to create something new from an old design. in the piece we pose questions about utility, form, perception and expectations, translating the form into a case good that questions the original function and meaning of the chaboo.

this piece re-contextualizes the way we are used to using a bookshelf. shelves accessible only from the sides force the user to think about what they are storing and where they are storing it. things to be put on display will end up on the ends and things that are more personal move to the hidden interior. by closing off the front and back of the bookshelf and making it only accessible from the sides, this allows the piece to be moved away from the wall, and changes the way we are familiar with seeing a bookshelf placed in a room.
